After obsessing over which to purchase for over a year, whether to go plasma or lcd, what size to get, etc. etc. i have found my match. The clarity and smoothness of the picture is amazing, the colors are vibrant, the blacks are very deep, it’s just amazing. the touch of red on the surround is barely noticable and i get comments on it all the time. I’d recommend the to anyone. just be ready to spend money on a good hdmi cable, you really see any imperfections in the picture if its not coming from a good source.
46″ widescreen HDTV 16:9 aspect ratio * Touch of Color high gloss “rose black” finish * built in ATSC and analog NTSC tuners for over the air broadcasts antenna required * built in QAM cable tuner receives unscrambled programs without a set top box cable service required * Ultra Clear LCD panel 1920 x 1080 pixels *Initial purchase was on Amazon through another seller, which didn’t come through. a bit frustrating, but once I ordered directly from Amazon, everything was great. Have had the for a few weeks now just added HD and DVR with my existing DirecTV subscription, and the picture is really life like. The detail is stunning especially sports. Watching the NBA games, the detail on the player tattoos, even. Can’t wait for football season!
I will say that changing channels seems to take a little bit longer than before, but other than that, no complaints and that’s a small one . I’d read on Amazon that the sound wasn’t the best, but it sounds fine, even at low volume.
set up was easy, and the delivery was well ahead of schedule. With the 30 day price guarantee, I’ve shaved close to another $200 off of the price I originally paid for it, and Amazon all via e mail has been very responsive in providing the discounts subsequent pricing on Amazon compared to what I initially paid .
You won’t go wrong with this , in my opinion, and Amazon’s customer service is outstanding.
